Have you seen little children when their daddy brings them to the park to play? As soon as the colorful jungle gym comes into sight, they take off running toward it, full of joy and excitement. As children they are carefree, going from swings to slides to monkey bars, enjoying the present moment. They are unaware of the uncertainties of life because their daddy takes care of all those things, and they trust him completely.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to live like that—to be able to give all our worries to someone who will do what’s best for us? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to fully enjoy the moment like children and trust that Daddy will take care of us?

Dear God in heaven, you are not surprised by anything that happens here on earth. You said that we will have trouble, but that we can take heart because you have overcome the world. I need that courage and peace in my life. Please help me. Show me how to trust you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
